Haiti Earthquake – January 12, 2010
One Year Later ...
It looked and felt like the end of the world on January 12, 2010 - 4:53 pm. A magnitude 7.0 earthquake shook Haiti for about 45 seconds.
At least 250-thousand people were killed. A million and a half became homeless. No place to go.
Today, a million people are living in makeshift tent cities.
Billions have been pledged for reconstruction/redevelopment, but only a fraction of the money has been delivered. And the country is struggling with a new emergency – cholera.
Haiti remains a country in crisis, and continues to need the help of caring individuals and the International Community.
